Since 2010 Executive Yachting has been a member of the International Yacht Broker Association IYBA (based in Florida).

The Founder of Executive Yachting, Thomas Lauber, was hired in 1984 on large ocean cargo ships where he gained a wide range of nautical experiences worldwide. In 1990, he bought in Fort Lauderdale 42 feet sailing boat. He crossed the South Pacific during the typhoon and cyclone season, applying solely astronavigation methods without electronic aids.
